THE STORY

SkyTECH (SkyT) is the flagship entity of The Chatterjee Group (TCG), headquartered at Kolkata. It is a joint venture between United Airlines (UA) & TCG, providing software solutions & services to UA. Over the years SkyT has developed and implemented many mission critical solutions for UA, and has been a key partner to UA in its IT Transformation program.

Consequent to the economic downturn during 2007-08, SkyT decided to derisk its business by expanding its portfolio beyond airlines IT and to venture into emerging markets. ADAPT was chosen as a strategic consultant in Oct 2009 to drive this market expansion for SkyT.

ADAPT carried out a 'As-IS' assessment and identified potential areas where SkyT could get some quick wins based on its core competency and at the same time laid out a roadmap for growth in emerging markets. ADAPT consultants were engaged to rebrand & recreate fresh collaterals, forge new partnerships, create new competencies and penetrate newer markets. The first phase of transformation has been successfully completed, and today SkyT can boast about few pioneering engagements which effectively could be game changers for SKyT in the near future. Areas such as Financial Inclusion, Outsourced Product Development, e2e Airport IT Operations, etc.
